A MODERN LITIGATION FIRM.

Harris Litigation is a modern business and commercial litigation firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. It was built from the ground up to take advantage of new technologies and post-COVID sensibilities. The days of massive law firms, exorbitant attorney travel time, and per-search Westlaw fees are over. Today, a single experienced lawyer with a laptop and an internet connection can be just as effective (if not more so) than an entire army of "Big Law" associates, and at a fraction of the cost. Indeed, in its first year of operation, Harris Litigation has already successfully represented significant clients, including one of the nation's largest airlines, a leading television technology company, and the CEO of an online retailer who Forbes described as revolutionizing his industry.
CLIENT-FOCUSED
Harris Litigation begins each matter by taking the time to understand the client's business and litigation goals. The firm then works to deliver legal representation tailored to the client's specific needs. As the case progresses, the firm keeps the lines of communication open, listening to the client and ensuring that the client stays informed throughout the legal process.
STRATEGY-DRIVEN
Harris Litigation thoroughly studies the facts and the law of each case it handles, with an eye towards developing the most effective and efficient legal strategy possible. The firm then lets this legal strategy drive the litigation. As a result of this focus on strategy, the firm has earned a reputation for winning cases "on the papers," well before the date set for trial.
RESULTS-ORIENTED
Harris Litigation strives to be not only effective, but also efficient. The firm will never recommend a course of action that it does not believe will advance the client's interests and/or the firm's litigation strategy. The firm is committed to maximizing its clients' return on investment ("ROI"), not its own attorney time.

HARRIS LITIGATION TURNS THE TABLES
The firm was retained by a client concerned about being sued in state court by a particularly aggressive adversary. After reviewing the relevant documents, the firm developed a strategy that would not only keep the client out of state court, but also put the other side on the defensive. The firm proactively filed an arbitration demand against the other side, successfully kept the matter in arbitration, and then filed a winning summary judgment brief. The arbitrator ultimately ordered the other side to pay the firm's client's attorney's fees and costs.

HARRIS LITIGATION WINS TWO APPEALS
The firm's client--a national airline--was sued in state court for various contract and non-contract claims related to an in-flight entertainment system. At trial, the client won summary adjudication against the non-contract claims on the grounds that they were preempted by the Airline Deregulation Act. It then went on to secure a jury verdict in its favor on the remaining contract claims as well as an award of attorney’s fees. The plaintiff brought two appeals in the California Court of Appeal--but the firm successfully defeated both of them.

HARRIS LITIGATION WINS DISMISSAL
The firm was retained after the District Court for the Central District of California had already entered default against the firm's client, an international company specializing in promoting sporting events. The firm quickly filed a motion to set aside the default, arguing that the plaintiff's own proof of service showed that it had not given proper notice to the firm's client and that the court did not have personal jurisdiction. The judge agreed with the firm and entered an order not only setting aside the default, but dismissing the complaint against the client.
